These Berger Camaros are Retro Power's signature hot rods.
Our 1969 Berger Double COPO Camaro is an
all matching-numbers supercar restored to factory correct condition. This Camaro is one of approximatley 40 Double COPO
Camaros ordered by Berger Chevrolet of Grand Rapids, MI. Of these 40 cars, about 12 or so are known to be left in existence
and this is the only one in Daytona Yellow to date. We spent 5/years restoring this Camaro, right down to the correct
markings on every single bolt head. Each chassis and firewall marking that was placed on this Camaro during its assembly
in 1969 was re-created. This Camaro has a storied history, like most muscle cars from this time. It was run on
the drag strip for many years, and its sheet metal showed the abuse. Fortunately and almost unbelieveably, the
entire drivetrain remained literally untouched. We were also fortunate to have found the original Protecto-plate and
other miscellanous paperwork in the Camaro. There is something special about a solid-lifter 427 Big Block breathing
through a set of factory chambered exhaust pipes.
The 2000 Berger Camaro was specially built by Berger Chevrolet
specifically for us. As a tribute to Berger's 75th Anniversary in business, they built a limited production run
of modified 2000 SS Camaros. All of these Berger 75th Anniversary Camaros featured an engine upgrade package, brake
package, special badging and chambered exhaust reminiscent of the 60's. Our Camaro originally came from GM in black,
but Berger Chevrolet made special arrangements to have the car re-painted in Daytona Yellow. This is the only 2000 Berger
75th Anniversary Camaro painted in this hue. With less than 160 miles on the odometer, this is one very special Camaro
indeed, just like her older sister.
Our Berger Camaros have been featured in Super Chevy, Camaro Performers and
Camaro World, as well as on Speedvision's American Musclecar television program.
